A cardigan, a skirt and a confession

Thanks Jason...

This is a messenger bag that I made from an old army jacket that I got from a thrift store a while back. The name Jason was written on the tag.  So far, this has been the most useful piece of equipment that I've made--but that should come as no surprise!

I guess you could say I got my inspiration from a book that we got from the library a while back, but (sorry!) I forgot the name.  The bag in the book was just a tote though, which I knew wouldn't be as functional for me, so with a lot of planning and measuring and some things off one of my sister's old ballet bags, this is what I made.  A friend even wanted to know where I got it!
