What's on the Mannequin? Chain store to chic
A few WIPs completed

de stash

Busy making girlie things from my stash for a friends shop, so not much refashioning for me lately, but I did refashion a tshirt today with zips. Which I will include in my next post.

For those of you who havent seen it before here is 'half' of my stash.

Here are some of the clothes I've been busy making over the past three weeks

Above (thanks typepad) grr butterfly flares from an unused curtain

Criss cross
Girls smock made from a hand embroidered table cloth, the patches are covering coffee or tea stains HA HA

Embcalico1 This was a gorgeous embroidered calico cloth that I picked up for knicks at a garage sale, this one also had a few stains hence the ribbons! I am giving this one to my sweet little nice for her birthday

Psyflares1 On a recent trip to Merimbula Vic last winter, we were driving through the fog when we came across a huge garage sale on someones front lawn. STOP!!  i couldnt resist this piece of cotton vintage psychedelic fabric. Awesome 3 metres for 4 bucks.

Sunflower curtain and seersucker table cloth, great colors, notice how I ran out of yellow  bias binding...and had to change to red. Oh well variety is the spice of life lol

Just one last thing I wanted to share with you. Im teaching a friends daughter how to sew. I got this beauty from freecyclers, minus the foot pedal. I managed to get one for $15. This baby is faultless, she purrs, even though she had been sitting in someones garage for 10 years. Dont you love the colors.
