This is a simple, no-sewing required refashion. The Little Mister needed shorts to take to
his pop's.I had admired Boden's
sweatpant shorts and he happened to have 3 pair of hole-y sweatpants.Out came the scissors!
Except with the blue pair - which he just wore to death, I
used a pair of his knee-length jean shorts for a guide. But there were still a couple of holes higher
up that needed patches.The Little
Mister decided he wanted skulls.He
traced the pattern from a hooded sweatshirt I bought him months ago.A little Wonder-Under, backstitching, and
freehand embroidery later, voila!
He was so pleased with them he took off the shorts he was
wearing to put the blue ones on.
While it’s not a refashion, the Little Miss is learning to
cross stitch.I make binder-ready storage sheets; I gave her one to keep her project and scissors in.
I’ve also got a storage sheet sample giveaway going on over
at my blog.
I haven't been making much lately. But I have been thrift shopping. I bought a brand spankin' new LENOX platter for $15 at my local thrift store. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first picked it up since I didn't think I'd find anything.
This is taken with my cell phone so sorry if it isn't clear.
Finals will be finally over on Wednesday. I can't wait! By then I can finally clean up my room and take out my sewing machine again!
My birthday is next month! Follow me and I'll keep you posted about my FIRST giveaway! I much rather give away things for my birthday than receiving. :)
I started a new blog on blogger.com after I decided it was time to move away from Xanga. Come check it out. I know it isn't too homey right now, but hopefully soon I can fill it up :)
Today on my blogI am having a giveaway with 2 prizes, 2 bibs each. I have been making bibs for awhile now for my children and gifts for friends but have recently decided to sell them. I like to use thrifted materials.
These bibs are made from a cotton blend blanket I found at an op shop and flannelette from my own babies cot sheets on the underside. I made the pattern up. All the shop bought bibs I owned all seemed so small and my children being the dribblers they are would have them soaking wet in minutes so I came up with a size that suited me. These bibs are my trial run pattern and have since changed the shape slightly.
So if you would like to win a couple of free bibs go to my blog MaeKellan.
The winners will be drawn Sunday 8pm EST Good luck
Okay I am having my first giveaway, I have made several items of childrens clothing lately with the intention of selling them but only realised after attatching them, that the name on my tags are spelt incorrectly. My fault, whoops. All skirts are made from repurposed materials.
So I am going to do some random giveaways on my blog over the next couple of weeks.
All items are made from thrifted bedsheets
This weeks giveaway are two prizes a size 2-3 skirt and a size 3-4 skirt
If you would like a chance to win go to my blog MaeKellan. Ends monday the 10th, 8PM EST
COMMENTS CLOSED: Winner will be announced shortly on my blog.
