A child's XL GAP denim jacket with wonderful embroidered patches
But the sleeves are too short for me!
The sleeves are cut, and the cuffs are restitched to a new length; a short sleeved denim jacket ready for summer, yey!

My Wardrobe Refashion - Garment #11

Wardrobe Refashion - Capelet.  I cut off the bottom "skirt" portion of a thrifted dress and used that fabric as the base for this capelet.  I draped the fabric around my dressform and went to town stitching!  Added frayed fabric, ribbons, lace, etc, and used three spools of thread!  More pics on my blog.

Mittens

I'm starting early this year with my fall/winter knitting.  These are the first of many pairs of mitten I have planned for my girls.   Last year it never seems like I had a dry pair ready for my oldest to go out and play and I hate buying things that I can make.  Pattern and yarn info is over on my blog.

Nellie's New Coat

Frankencoat - the top is a coat by Benneton that I had when I was in college over 20 years ago..and I had bought it at a thrift store, so I have no idea how old it may be..The bottom is a poncho that I had made a few years ago during the short lived but wildly popular poncho craze.  And my girl, pretending she is chilly despite the 75degrees it happened to be.

Texture magic is so fun!

I made another little purse using autumn leaves fabric and more texture magic. This time I put in an inner zippered pocket as well as two non-zippered pockets. I also made it a little larger than my last one since I always have a bunch of essentials to stuff into a purse!
