I refashioned two things in a row that AREN'T dresses! (some kind of record for me? MAYbe!) they both started life as t-shirts. The first former t-shirt is now... a t-shirt. But see, you know your favorite shirt/skirt/underpants? The one(s) that give you an invisible cloak of awesomeness and make the day run smoother? Those guys are to be treasured right? Right. And apparently even two year olds know the power of a lucky, magic, favoritest, very best shirt. The Sesame Street crew here used to be on Teddy's favorite shirt. Then he grew. So I switched 'em to a new shirt. The tute/skinny is here. I suspect this won't be the last move the guys make.
(just to be clear, Teddy isn't all green and leafy, that's a bush)
The second thing that started life as a t-shirt is now a dance shoe bag. With ruffles. For putting my dance shoes into, all sweaty and gross after Flamenco class.
My need for a bag tied in neatly with week two of the SEW WHAT? Challenge (there's TOTALLY still time to join the fun and the next challenge is a corker!)
I threw together a tute for the shoe bag (it's pretty much what you'd imagine!). I think this would look SO STINKIN' CUTE made from a little pink tee with little pink ballet shoes inside it. Le sigh.
