I'm thrilled to have made it in this round! I'm from the northeast USA where the fall chill is beginning to visit in the mornings despite what the calendar may say. I'm in my 40's, married, grown children and love to play with my sewing machines. I've never had formal lessons, not even a home-ec class so you won't be seeing any designer ball gown refashions from me, but I do enjoy so much reusing and repurposing apparel and household items. I've signed for two months and hope to re-sign again when it is done. I already know what my get out of jail free card will be - I work outside the home and despite how gently I try to care for the tights I must wear to work they do eventually wear out. I just don't see me being able to replace them any other way, but I am open to suggestions since the darned things cost $5/pair and last only two or three months due to the constant wear and washing.
I'd like to share a peek at a pillowcase made from some very soft curtains my Mom gave me a while back. I retained the original hem which cut the project time down to just a few minutes. You can read more about it on my little blog: CrunchySews.
Thank you for having me!
