I started some things during my two refashion-months, that I didn't finish. I'll do, I promise and you will be able to see the results on my blog...someday.
The first thing I started is the blue Tea-Top I posted about before. I'm now planning on finishing the top with bias-binding (as suzanne clark suggested here), let's see if it works. I want to finish it till holidays start, so 4 weeks left.
The second picture shows the white dress from eyelet-fabric. It's almost finished, I only have to zig-zag-stich all the edges, because it's see-through, so you'll always see the raw edges, even if I wear something white underneath. I think I will stich the pleats closed as it is intended in the pattern (from Burda 2/2007). Oh, and the I will have to do the seams. It's also intended to be worn on holiday.
The next is a failed attempt of some kind of teen-long-shirt version of the little girl dress we all know. The concept wasn't that bad, but I really hate the colours: It looks as if I'm wearing some old sack and the top has a touch of "nursing-dress". So not what I thought it could be.
The picture of the two black parts of a skirt shows how far I got with the skirt for my friend. I t has to be finished until June 19th, because she wants to wear it to a dance in front of "audience". The pattern is from the same burda-issue as the dress.
The last picture shows my old silk wrap- skirt that I tried to bleach. I want to make some tunic or beach throw-over from it, because it's SILK! Perhaps I'll try to make it black, but that's a project that isn't very urgent.
I'm really happy with the things I made in these two months, I would do it again, if I'd get the chance. Now I want to wish all those who continue their refashioning-time and those who signed up for the next months a lot of fun, inspiration, and never stoping sewing-machines.
Thanks for the great time and the tips I got.
