Boring shirt + too small shirt =

I made this new shirt!
Modeling_2
I feel like I've finally done a real refashion!

I took two shirts I previously liked: one too-small, too-transparent blue pinstriped button up shirt and one royal blue stretchy long sleeved scoop neck shirt.

Shirts

I used to wear the pinstriped shirt under the scoop neck, but since it was too small it always felt awkward and would ride up.  So, inspired by the mock-layered shirts I've seen in stores, I decided to hack up the pinstriped one...
Collar_cut_out
and sew the collar and sleeve ends into the blue one.  I simply sewed along seams that were already there around the edge of the scoop neck and the sleeves.  The hardest part was pinning the darn thing.  I didn't have anyone around for help, so I used a mirror and tried not to stick myself.  More gory details on my blog. ;)

I'm really happy with how it turned out!
