Clever Quilts
Last week, I blogged about starting my first quilt. After reading through and watching a few online quilting tutorials, I broke out the Brother and started stitching with a handful of scraps. The green and white calico is an old bedsheet; the mod dots are leftovers from a commissioned curtain-making project.
This is what I've got thus far, simple, but a statement:
And, for those other Wardrobe Refashioners working on quilts (I'm sure you're out there), check out these ga-ga designs from Bill Kerr and Weeks Ringle, which I ran across at Apartment Therapy:

I love those dots! I have a neat chair I would love to recover in that fabric.....mind posting who makes it and where you bought it?? If you have that info. I have been working on a quilt top for about 3 years - its made of jeans - the back pockets are for the edges....I wanted something sturdy for picnics to keep in the car....

Sadly, I don't have the maker info; it was passed to me sans selvedges from a person who found it at a yard sale. That person asked me to make curtains from it, and said I could keep the leftovers.
Best of luck with your denim quilt. That will be sturdy, indeed.
