New Year - Vintage Dress

 

My name is JennySlash and I've just signed up for my third Refashion.

A few months ago, I posted about finding this dress at Roulette Vintage, in Carrboro, NC. I had gone into the shop in search of vintage fabric to sew a very similar dress when I spotted this mint-condition 60s cocktail dress. The dress is a black and metallic gold brocade, requiring no alterations and was priced around $25 USD.

I didn't have an opportunity to wear it until New Year's Eve but it was worth the wait! The dress was a big hit and seemed to enjoy having a chance to shine at a restaurant and then sparkle on a dance floor.

(Sorry for the poor quality of the photo but I was in a rush to get to dinner and hadn't had a chance to do my hair or anything before I took the picture. >blush<)
