I totally forgot (okay, 'til now!) to show off my fair entries. I entered two items made from a prom dress that a friend got for me from the transfer station (where all us hill dwellers dump our garbage). I cut off the bodice and made a purse out of it, and used some of the skirt to make a baseball cap. Both are colored with crayons (heat set with an iron), and then further embellished with embroidery. The bag also has words, poetry tags, and charms to further embellish it. The lace is original to the dress, and the shoulder straps became the bag handles.
