Project 365

What was i saying last night about wanting to take more photographs?  Well, thanks to Liesl i am now taking part in Photojojo's Project 365.  I'm not sure how brilliant my photographs will be using my digital camcorder, we'll see how i go.  Ideally i'd like to buy myself a lovely new digital SLR but that's a very big dream at the moment so i'll do with what i have, i may even use my 35mm SLR.
So, i started today (no time like the present eh?)

Reintroduce yourself

I am a wife and mother, i am part of my own little family.

It has been so long since i last did a self portrait, probably over 2 months now.  It's amazing how life gets in the way.  This months theme seems to be perfect for me, a good way to 'reintroduce' myself and get back into self portraits.  Life seems to be settling back into some sort of routine for me now, i hope!

No wonder really considering the size of my bump and how tight the skin was.  I don't mind having stretchmarks, they are the markings of my girls, i wear them with pride.  I do however feel a little envious when i see girls flashing their stomach's in low cut jeans and short tee's, these girls are of course younger than me and don't have kids.  I was never really one to have my midriff on show anyway.  Check out the shape of my belly button though!  I didn't realise it looked that way until i took the picture.

Personal history-part 2

When i was in Primary school aged 10 years old a group of us made up a 'rap' song about road safety for a competition and we won first prize!!  I don't remember how the song went but i do remember being the one that played the keyboard, haha.  We won the school a spanking new keyboard and we all got a ballpoint pen each, whooppeeee!  Can you see me?  I'm the one with the terrible perm behind the guy's head.

Bits and pieces and self portrait tuesday

A few random things today.  First, the stocking i received from Kali

She also sent a cute knitted bear, some Christmas story books and some butterflies to stick on the window.  I didn't get a chance to photograph them because as you can see i only just about managed this photo before they were whisked away.  Thanks so much Kali.xx

I did a bit of painting this week and thoroughly enjoyed it.

 

They're for sale in my Etsy shop as are sets of the collector's bird cards i've used in the paintings.

And one of Mia's latest obsessions, baking (also my SPT, can you see me?)

A few of her other latest obsessions are washing her hands and squeezing orange juice in the juicer at the cafe.
