I don't know! I go away camping in the last week of the school holidays and what happens? I get caught up in the back to school/work routine and then it's March, just like that!
I've been sewing. Yes, you heard me! I actually blew the cobwebs off my machine and cut up some fabric. Granted the fabric was toted to and from the studio for over a month in the hopes I would find a little time to sew it up. It was the change in weather and the realisation that my wardrobe lacks in clothes suitable for the colder months that made me dedicate some time to the sewing machine. So, after a class a few weeks ago I finally sewed up the Hemlock Tee that I've been carting around with me.
This is a great everyday top. It's slouchy but not too slouchy that it gets in the way of doing stuff. It's comfortable which is a huge plus and it's really quick and easy to make considering it's mostly sewn on the overlocker with the exception of the hems which are sewn with a twin needle.
I must admit I did cut out another before this one but failed to add a seam allowance resulting in the top being not so slouchy or comfy.
The fabric is another stash buster, gotta love stash busting right?! There's a bit of that going on around here at the moment. I think the fabric is a combination of polyester and viscose, the stripes seem to be made from different fibres.
