Like most of Australia I'm wilting in the heatwave we are having. Even after almost 10 years living in Australia the Brit in me still can't manage consecutive days of this kind of heat. Some people love it! I think they're nuts.
Without aircon throughout the house there's really not much else you can do! I want to sew but my sewing room is like a sauna, I'm sitting in here writing this in my undies (tmi?). So, while we're at home we're trying our best to stay as cool as we can with fans, wet flannels, a dark house and very little clothing.
We have visited the beach a few times.
Last weekend we stayed with friends in their place in the country where I had the pleasure of this view whilst sipping my morning coffee.
Wearing my new pajama pants of course!
No internet meant the kids played the old fashioned way, with a cardboard box!
And made fairy houses.
There was berry picking at a local farm.
Many board games were played, the kids ran around, great food was cooked and eaten and all of this was shared with fantastic friends in an awesome place.
I'm still enjoying the berries we picked in my morning smoothies.
