When school broke up for summer I had this silly idea that I would spend lots of the holiday's sewing. Ahem...I've made some quick and easy pajama pants, one pair for me and a pair for Kev. That's it!

After clearing out my wardrobe a few weeks ago I've been taking note of what I wear most, what fits best and what doesn't, what I still don't wear and what I'm missing. So, I'll be going through the wardrobe again and will be even more ruthless than I was the last time. I sold on many of my handmade dresses either because they no longer fit, don't fit into my lifestyle or are just not my style any more. I'm also looking for great basic patterns that I can work with to create a wardrobe that works together. It's going to take some time and a whole lot of work but it will be worth it.
First up is the Hemlock Tee by Grainline Studio. I printed this pattern out when it was first released then never got around to making it up (that happens often around here, I clearly have to work on this). I have a severe lack of tops, in fact I'm pretty desperate so this is top of my list. I've seen many fantastic versions around the web and many great things said about the pattern so I'm fairly confident that this will be an easy sew that will meet my needs, comfortable, a good fit, work well with my wardrobe, suitable for bike riding and cute!
What's even better about sewing this pattern is I'm stash busting with this great grey and mustard stripe that I bought a while back. In fact I think there's a few more jerseys in the stash that could well be destined to be made up as a Hemlock Tee too!
Have you made the Hemlock Tee? What did you think? Do you have any tried and true pattern suggestions?
