Umm, I've been so preoccupied with Handmaker's Factory that I seem to have forgotten all about my own blog. I have had some time to create things for myself including this Scout Tee in jersey which I made in our first Scout Tee class. I did a bit of stash busting to make this which is always satisfying!
I've also been working away on my Miette cardigan for the knit-a-long that we are hosting over at Handmaker's Factory. There's a class next week for those interested in knitting this up for themselves.
Mine is almost finished. Since taking this photo earlier today I have bound off the neckline and woven in the ends. All it needs now are the perfect buttons which are proving to be difficult to find. I have searched my button jar and Leisl and I visted 3 fabric shops on Thursday but neither of us could find what we were looking for. A trip to good old Buttonmania is needed next week. I think I need a new dress to wear this with! Maybe the Hazel by Colette Patterns?
I'm also knee deep in cotume sewing. My girls have a school concert soon so I'm busy sewing up spotty shift dresses, black ties and vests and Egyptian outfits. They also have book week a few days before, I need to clothe Katniss, Pippi and Alice. I'm going to be chained to my sewing machine for the next month!
