Once the kids started school i realised working Saturdays left little family time so i've cut a day, rearranged my shifts and now work Monday to Wednesday. I've worked Saturdays since starting at Tessuti three and a half years ago and before that i worked Saturdays as a chef, it's going to take some getting used to!
So today we have spent the day hanging around home staying away from the Grand Final footy madness and hiding from the wild windy wet weather. I've stayed in my pajamas and spent some time sewing up this little dress requested by Heidi.
She has been asking for a dress with hearts and stars on it for months but i've not found fabric with both. This jersey came in the new shipment from Italy a few weeks ago and when i showed it to her she gave it the thumbs up. She chose the pattern herself too, from my stash, and has bugged me all week to sew it so that's what i did this morning. Now we just need a warm sunny day for her to wear it!

Fabric: 90cm Within The Heart from Tessuti Fabrics
Other info: I cut a size 4 and used the overlocker to sew the dress together. It was quick and easy to sew and i made no alterations. I think i'll sew up the other garments for summer too.
