Pamela of The Makers Journal asked me to test her 'Freddie Vest' pattern a few months ago and the class at Tessuti today reminded me i needed to post about it here.
DETAILS
Pattern: Freddie
Fabric: 'Toffee Drops' cotton/metal for the front, green linen for the lining and brown corduroy for the back.
Trim: Grosgrain ribbon for the tie and 2 toggles to keep the ties gathered in place.
Aditional info: I made a size 8 and created 2 small pleats at the armhole instead of 1 as the pattern suggests, i found this shaped it better with the fabric i used. This is a great pattern for using up small scraps of fabric
There were some fabulous Freddie vests being made in the class at Tessuti today so maybe you'll see a few more pop up on blogs soon.
