Remember this secret project? Well it's safe to show you now that it has arrived safely in the UK.
This is the 3rd New York Cape i have made and this one is a birthday gift for my lovely Mam.
I think this the first time my Mam has featured on my blog! I'd maybe sew more for her if we didn't live so far away from each other.
DETAILS
The fabric is a wool blend of some kind which i bought as a remnant. It is incredibly soft and drapey and has a silver/grey herringbone pattern with flecks of blue thoughout. I bound the edges with a wool binding, the seams with a poly/cotton bias binding and because i used large buttons i sewed snaps to the inside and added the buttons as decoration to the outside.
