Lisa and i sporting our matching capes. I don't always hold my boss's hand, just sometimes ;)
Details
- Tessuti's New York Cape pattern
- Check wool (Marc Jacobs?) from The Fabric Store
- Buttons and binding from Tessuti Fabrics
- I made a few alterations. First of all my copy of the pattern is slightly smaller than the original (because i'm a shorty). I also shortened the cape by about 5 inches.
- The pattern calls for 2m of fabric, i had only 1.5m and played around with the pattern until i could find a way of cutting it out and matching the check as much as i could.
- Instead of buttonholes i used large snaps then sewed the buttons onto the front.
I'm very pleased with it.
