I cut this kimono tee out at Craft Camp. Yes that would mean it has been cut out since last May! I found it in the basket i brought home (with a number of other UFO's), i obviously haven't looked in it since.
So last night i finally sewed it up ready to wear to work this morning with my Drape Drape 2 skirt (did i even blog about this?).

I made a few alterations. The pattern should be cut out in one piece so there are no shoulder seams, this takes more fabric so i adjusted it so i didn't need to buy as much fabric, but i do have shoulder seams which really don't matter. I didn't add the casing and drawstring at the hem and i widened the neckline and did a fold over and twin stitch instead of a binding.
I'm really pleased with it, the fabric is perfectly drapey (it feels quite heavy and a little crepe like). I LOVE the colour too, i have a bit of a thing for mustard yellow right now.
My necklace was a find at the Rose Street Market this past weekend. Neil Thomas makes wonderful pieces of jewellery from wood.
Oh and i also picked up this fabulous recycled spoon ring, made by Greg Mann (not sure if he has a website).
Both guys were great at entertaining the girls too!
