I'm going up to Sydney in 3 weeks to stay with Colette while i attend the Stitches & Craft Show. It would be indecent of me to either wear my threadbare pjs or nothing at all so i thought it best to whip up a new pair.
I sketched a pair of pants i saw in a Japanese pattern book in a similar style but they had a lower crotch which came to the knees. I made up the pattern using a pair of pj pants which fit well as a pattern then winged the rest!
I used a remnant of cotton seersucker which i managed to nab from work a while ago and had stashed away on my shelf waiting for the perfect project. I gave them an elasticated waist and added a small bow to the front using a scrap of ribbon from my stash.
So, other than a quick trip to a local garage sale this morning my day is being spent crafting in my new pjs. A little bit of knitting on the sofa with a cup of tea while the girls watch Mary Poppins then an evening of sewing is planned.
