As you may well know by now my girls are big fans of their Dad's music. Alice Cooper, KISS, Twisted Sister and Poison are big favourites, not just for their music but also for their choice of dress.
Mia asked me to make her some leopard print leggings and while 'working' with me at Tessuti last week she discovered our Italian 'Brown Spot Cat' viscose/spandex ($49pm).
Luckily both Mia and Esme wear the same size clothes and i managed to get two pairs cut from one length of fabric. There is 18 months between them and although Mia is a little taller, Esme has a bigger chest and waist.
I used Burda pattern 9615 (version A) which was incredibly easy and the fit is great.
I top stitched around the cuffs and waist. Of course a coverstitch machine would be a great addition to my sewing room but alas i only dream of such a thing right now. The girls love them and tell me they feel very soft and comfortable, so much so that i'm having trouble getting them to take them off to wash them!
