This past month has been a little crazy for me. Not only have i been to Sydney twice for the Stitches and Craft Show and the Tessuti Awards but i also started working full time and Kev left his job and became a stay at home dad. So of course to top it all off we decided we'd move house too!! Yep that's right we're officially bonkers!
We had decided we'd like to move a few months ago. We've lived in this house for 3 years now but we feel we've outgrown this area and need more. We decided to move closer to the City for a few reasons, i work in the City and my commute would be quicker and we'd have easier access to places such as the museum and homeschooling groups. We started to look at areas we thought we might like to live in. A few weeks ago we noticed a house online which had just that morning gone up for rent, went to view it, liked it and applied for it. It was the first place we'd looked at and luckily we were accepted, YAY! Then came the realisation that this had happened a lot faster than we had planned it to and we now have two weeks to pack and clean up our current place and all while i work full time, ARGH!
So this weekend while Kev packed boxes and the kids entertained themselves i removed every vertical blind in the house, soaked and scrubbed them in the bath tub, cleaned each window and replaced the blinds. I also cleaned the oven, the shower cubicle, ceiling extractor fans in the kitchen and bathroom and cleared out Mia's bedroom.
I'm now off to measure furniture, make dinner, put the kids to bed then i will not be moving from the comfort of my bed until tomorrow morning when we will be visiting our new home again to do some measuring and sign the contract. I'm looking forward to the end of the month when we should be moved in and settled and life can get back to some sort of routine. I'm craving a regular routine and i want to sew!
