Jacket for baby
Using the pattern i uploaded to BurdaStyle i made this little jacket for baby.
I shortened it slightly and used french seams on the inside although there's a little puckering around the underarms. I'll have to look into solving that problem when i make the next one. I'm thinking of adding fabric covered buttons to the front using the scraps of fabric i have left, i just need to get to Spotlight to buy some and i doubt very much that will be happening in the next week.
Of course i had to make a matching pair of shoes to go with with the jacket.
I used some leather on the soles. I found a big bundle at the op shop the other week for $5, bargain!
Did i mention how totally over being pregnant i am? Soooo over it. Come out little one.

Ooh that's so sweet!

Hey there -
French seams don't go easily around corners. You might be better off using bias binding to cover raw edges, if that's your aim.
Come out, little one. We're all dying to meet you...

very cute. i'm also pregnant (though about 2 months behind you i'd guess), so i've been enjoying following along with what you come up with. a good friend of mine is actually in labor *right now* (she was also very much over being pregnant), and my sister is due with her first any day. so, i've got birth on the brain and it's been nonstop baby crafting over here. makes me love your blog even more! hang in there, you'll get to meet that baby soon...
