Stitching night at Meet me at Mike's
Jus and I went to Pip's stitching night on Sunday and what a fabulous night it was too. I ate TWO of the beautiful (and very large) cupcakes and i think i could have fit in another but that would have been me being far too greedy! :) Just look at them though, who wouldn't want to scoff them all?!
See my cute little pear in the photo there too? Wonder Woman Pip made one for each girl to take home with them, like she doesn't have enough to do opening a new store!! How exiting! I'm looking forward to popping in next week to check things out.
Here are the girls concentrating on the tasks in hand. Head on over to the Mike's blog to check out everyones work.

Here's what i worked on. A Sublime Stitching pattern which i stitched onto a tea towel. I don't think i could bring myself to use it as a teatowel, all that hard work to use it to wipe dishes!? Pfff!

Good idea taking the photo at the beginning of the night and not closer to the end when the plate was looking a little less populated... Just let me know when slavery required - not this sunday - girls lunch during the arvo with birds I used to work with...in a bar. We love making other people get us drinks. Who knows what the zines would look like if you got me on the job after that...

One muffin for you, one for the bump!
That tea towel deserves to be wrapped around some of your freshly-baked bread or scones, definitely not Palmolive material!

Now that looks like a fun evening!

Your stitching night sounds like a lot of fun. I've started going to one here at my local needlework store and am thoroughly enjoying it.
Your towel project looks great! Go ahead and use it!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Nichola. I am always envious of moms who find the time to craft and sew: http://nobaddays.wordpress.com/2007/03/28/crafting-vicariously/

It is great to see a site like this. Please can I have your help. I love sewing, knitting, crocheting etc. and have agreed to hosting a sewing night with friends and their daughters. Very few of them can sew!! Have you any ideas what I can do with them? Some Christmassy stuff would be great, as would stuff that small girls could do. The youngest girl will be 10 years old. I hope you can help me.
