The Miss Twiss bustle
No, it's not a dance! The fabulous Miss Twiss recently sent me her pattern for her bustle skirt. After work last night, yes i was up till wayyyy past midnight, i got to work on making it. I like sewing/knitting/crafting late at night because that's usually the only time i get to have to myself, when everyone else is asleep (if i'm lucky!). I found the pattern great, it didn't take me too long to whip up, although turning the drawstring probably took longer than the rest of the skirt! I need one of those fancy little gadgets that helps you do it. Ok, here is how mine turned out, i didn't put the ruffle on the bottom as i didn't quite have enough fabric, but i like how it looks.
(excuse the crap picture, Mia wasn't in the mood to take fabulous photos today and i can't find the remote for the camera anywhere!)
I fear it may be getting a little too chilly here for me to wear this skirt for much longer but i think i'll be making a few more, maybe in a woolen fabric or tweed, and i may even make sure i have enough fabric the next time round so i can add the ruffle to the bottom ;-)
Thanks Miss Twiss, you're fabulous!
